Dreaming The Orgy Of Shopping (Book review 2)
Again another book review about the books I've read several times. I've got the book last Christmas and after lending the book, it never return. Anyway - The book is really juicy unless staring at shopping lists and credit card debts bore you. And what's weird was the ending - the part where I'm not going to tell anything. I'm writing the book review to help you and not HELP YOU WITH YOUR BOOK REPORTS AND SUMMARY. The heroine in the story is somewhat unreasonable though. All in all the book is about family, friends, work, love and dreams of winning the lottery.
The movie has big differences. The heroine never worked at Brandon C and there's no such thing as the lady in the green scarf (Hermes) and the garage sale never existed.
The book was a blast in the United States but in Asian countries, people doesn't seem to fit in. Why? Because the book is all about Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Burberry, Gucci, Versace and Vera Wang dreams. I found the book very appealing. Events are well described too, with accompanying brands and real places like Tiffany's. The story had a huge turn when everything had fallen for And-re-ah.
The movie was good but Anne Hathaway, with all her sponsors, never wore Prada.
